Of Iron & Thorns is a dark fantasy OSR ecosystem set in an alternate medieval Regnum Italiae. It transforms Italian local history — communal wars, papal politics, noble ambition, saintly miracles and ancient peoples twisted by judgement — into a playable world of old-school adventure. Built on OSE Advanced Fantasy via The Corona Hack, it gives old-school procedures a sacramental, grim and historically grounded form. Aemilia is the First Scenario. The Fourth Era is the main campaign setting. The Third Era follows Gorgoth into the dark centuries before empire. The Fifth Era waits beyond the First Trumpet.
